- You've noticed gradual thinning or reduced density and want a registered doctor to assess the cause
- You prefer a treatment that uses a sample of your own blood rather than added substances
- You're looking for a non-surgical option to discuss as part of a wider hair-care plan
- You want a clear, individual assessment of whether the treatment is suitable for you
How the treatment works
PRP hair restoration uses platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood. After the sample is taken, it is processed on-site to separate and concentrate the platelets, which are part of your blood involved in tissue repair. The resulting plasma is then applied to areas of the scalp affected by thinning.
The treatment is targeted. Your doctor examines your scalp and pattern of thinning, and applies the plasma to the areas agreed in your plan. Because the plasma is derived from your own blood, no donor or added product is introduced.
PRP is designed to support the scalp in areas of reduced density, and is often discussed as part of a wider hair-care plan. Outcomes vary between individuals, results develop gradually, and no hair regrowth can be promised. Your doctor will talk through what is realistic for your scalp and goals, and will only recommend treating where it is suitable for you.
This is a doctor-performed treatment at Sera Aesthetic Clinic, prepared and applied using a BPOM-compliant process. Suitability is assessed individually; some medical histories may mean it is not recommended, and your doctor may suggest investigating the cause of thinning first.
A small amount of blood is drawn and prepared on-site before treatment. You may notice mild tenderness, redness, or slight swelling at the scalp that usually settles within a day. Any change in hair density develops gradually and varies between individuals.
