Safety & Credentials
Are your doctors licensed to practise aesthetic medicine in Indonesia?
Yes. Treatments are performed by registered Indonesian doctors (dokter) who hold a current STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi) and SIP (Surat Izin Praktik). Each doctor's registration details and professional memberships are listed on their profile so you can verify their credentials before booking.
What products do you use, and are they BPOM-notified?
We use products that carry a current BPOM notification, the Indonesian regulatory standard for cosmetics and injectables. Product brands are named on the relevant treatment pages. BPOM status can change over time, so we verify notification before any product is used.
Is Sera Aesthetic Clinic licensed by the Indonesian Ministry of Health?
The clinic operates under an izin klinik (clinic operating licence) issued by the local health authority. The licence number is shown in the footer of every page. Our facility and equipment are maintained to meet the requirements that apply to that licence.
What happens if I have a reaction or concern after I return home?
You can reach our team by WhatsApp for remote aftercare support in the days following treatment. If a concern needs in-person assessment, we will guide you on what to look for and, where appropriate, recommend seeing a qualified practitioner in your home country.
Treatments
How long do anti-wrinkle injection results last?
Duration varies between individuals and depends on the area treated, the dose used, and your own metabolism. Many people choose to return for maintenance after a few months. Your doctor will discuss realistic expectations for your situation during consultation.
Can I combine multiple treatments in one visit?
Some treatments can be sequenced in a single visit, while others are better spaced apart for comfort and recovery. During consultation your doctor will assess what is suitable for you and plan a schedule that fits your goals and the time you have in Bali.
What is the difference between a skin booster and a dermal filler?
A dermal filler adds volume or definition to a specific area, such as cheeks or lips. A skin booster is designed to support skin hydration and quality across a broader area rather than to add shape. Your doctor can explain which approach matches what you want to address.
What is a thread lift and how long is the recovery?
A thread lift uses absorbable threads placed under the skin to reposition and support facial tissue. It is a doctor-performed procedure. Mild swelling or bruising can occur and typically settles within days; your doctor will give you a specific recovery and aftercare plan.
Is microneedling with PRP suitable for all skin types?
Microneedling with PRP uses a sample of your own blood and is performed by a doctor. Suitability depends on your skin and medical history, which is assessed at consultation. Some conditions may mean it is not recommended, and your doctor will advise accordingly.
How many sessions are needed for the acne and pigmentation program?
The program is structured around your skin's response rather than a fixed number. After assessing your concerns, your doctor will outline a recommended sequence and review progress along the way. It is framed as ongoing management rather than a one-time fix.
International Patients
Can I book a consultation before arriving in Bali?
Yes. You can request a pre-arrival consultation by WhatsApp or email. We can discuss your goals, suitable treatments, indicative costs, and recovery timing so you can plan treatments around your trip before you travel.
How do I get to the clinic from my hotel in Seminyak or Canggu?
The clinic is in Seminyak and is reachable by taxi or ride-hailing apps from most of southern Bali. Our coordinator can share directions and an estimated travel time from your accommodation when you book.
Do you offer treatments that fit around a 7-day holiday?
Many treatments suit a one-week stay, while a few benefit from longer recovery time. Our International Patients page sets out suggested timing for each, and the coordinator can help you plan a schedule that allows for any settling or downtime before key dates.
Can I pay in Australian dollars?
Prices are set in Indonesian Rupiah, with indicative AUD, USD, and EUR figures shown for reference. Payment methods are confirmed at the clinic. Exchange rates move, so foreign-currency figures are a guide rather than a fixed amount.
Is English spoken at the clinic?
Yes. Our team includes English-speaking staff, and consultations for international patients are conducted in English so you can ask questions and understand your treatment plan clearly.
Pricing
How much does botox cost in Bali compared to Australia?
Anti-wrinkle injection pricing in Bali is generally lower than comparable treatment in Australia. Exact cost depends on the areas treated and the dose required, which is assessed at consultation. Our Pricing page lists starting prices in IDR with indicative AUD figures.
Are your prices all-inclusive, or are there additional fees?
Listed prices are starting prices for the treatment described. The final cost depends on the plan agreed at consultation, such as the number of areas or sessions. We confirm the full cost with you before any treatment proceeds, with no hidden fees.
Do you offer package pricing for multiple treatments?
Package pricing is available for some treatments and treatment courses. Where a package applies, it is shown on the Pricing page or discussed at consultation. Your doctor will recommend a plan based on your goals rather than a fixed bundle.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We ask that you let us know as early as possible if you need to change an appointment so we can offer the time to another patient. Specific terms are confirmed when you book, and our coordinator is happy to help you reschedule around your travel plans.
Post-Treatment
What should I avoid after laser treatment?
After laser treatment, sun exposure should be limited and broad-spectrum sunscreen used, as treated skin is more sensitive. Your doctor will give you a specific aftercare list, which may include avoiding heat, strenuous exercise, and certain skincare for a short period.
How do I care for my skin after a chemical peel in Bali?
After a chemical peel, skin can feel tight and look flaky as it renews. Gentle cleansing, moisturising, and diligent sun protection are usually advised, and picking or peeling skin should be avoided. Bali's sun and humidity make sun care especially important; your doctor will provide a tailored plan.
How long should I wait between filler treatments?
Timing between filler treatments depends on the product used, the area, and your goals. Your doctor will advise when a review or top-up is appropriate rather than applying a single rule, so the result settles naturally before any further treatment.
