Clinical skin treatment in progress
01Who it's for
  • You'd like to improve uneven tone, dullness, or the look of sun-related pigmentation
  • You're concerned about skin texture, enlarged-looking pores, or early signs of ageing
  • You prefer a non-surgical approach you can fit around travel, with planned recovery
  • You want a registered doctor to assess whether laser is suitable for your skin type

How the treatment works

Laser rejuvenation uses focused light energy delivered into the skin to help address uneven tone, texture, and visible signs of sun exposure. The light is absorbed by specific targets within the skin, such as areas of excess pigment or the deeper layers involved in collagen support. This controlled energy is designed to prompt the skin’s natural repair processes over the days and weeks that follow.

The treatment is targeted and adjustable. Your doctor selects the device settings based on your skin type, your concern, and your recent sun exposure, so the energy delivered is appropriate for you. Cooling and protective eyewear are used during the session for comfort and safety. Because the skin renews gradually, results tend to develop over time, and a planned course of sessions is often more suitable than a single visit.

Outcomes vary between individuals, and no clearance of any skin condition can be assured. Treated skin is also more sensitive to UV, so sun protection is an important part of recovery, particularly in Bali’s climate.

This is a doctor-performed treatment at Sera Aesthetic Clinic, using BPOM-notified products and devices. Suitability is assessed individually; some skin types or medical histories may mean it is not recommended.

02What to expect

Many people describe the sensation as a series of warm pinpricks, eased by the device's cooling. Afterwards the skin often looks flushed, similar to mild sunburn, and may feel slightly tight. Your doctor will explain what is normal for the settings used in your session.

03Your session, step by step
  1. 01

    Consultation & skin assessment

Your doctor reviews your goals, skin type, medical history, and any recent sun exposure to confirm laser is appropriate for you.

  2. 02

    Planning the course

Together you agree the device settings, the areas to treat, and how many sessions may be suitable, with realistic expectations discussed.

  3. 03

    Treatment session

Cooling and protective eyewear are used as the device passes over the treatment area. Most sessions take around 30–45 minutes.

  4. 04

    Aftercare & sun protection

You'll receive aftercare guidance, including strict sun protection for Bali's climate, plus WhatsApp support if you have questions.

04Recovery & aftercare

Typically 1–3 days of redness and mild warmth, sometimes with light flaking over several days, depending on intensity. Strict sun protection is essential throughout recovery in Bali's climate; your doctor will advise on timing around travel.

You'll get specific aftercare guidance before you leave, plus WhatsApp support if you have questions afterwards.

“Settings are chosen for your individual skin type and recent sun exposure, which is why a careful assessment matters before any laser session.”

05Frequently asked questions
How many laser rejuvenation sessions will I need?
This varies between individuals and depends on your skin and goals. A course over several visits is often planned rather than a single session. Your doctor will discuss a realistic schedule and what results may be reasonable to expect at your consultation.
Is laser rejuvenation suitable for my skin type?
Suitability depends on your skin type, recent sun exposure, and medical history, which your doctor assesses individually. Some skin types or conditions may mean laser is not recommended, and your doctor will explain alternatives if it is not appropriate for you.
Will laser remove my pigmentation or skin concern completely?
Laser is designed to help improve the appearance of uneven tone and texture, but outcomes vary and no clearance can be assured. Your doctor will discuss what is realistic for your skin and may suggest a planned course rather than promising a specific result.
What aftercare matters most in Bali?
Sun protection is essential. Treated skin is more sensitive to UV, and Bali's climate is intense year-round, so daily broad-spectrum sunscreen and shade are important during recovery. Your doctor will provide full aftercare guidance and advise on timing around beach days or travel.
